Financial support
When you enroll in a vocational training program, you can apply for financial aid. You can submit an Internet Application for Assistance (IAA) in mid-June for the coming year. If your application is accepted, it will cover your studies from August to June of the current year.
Professional training is considered to be continuous training, as it's not offered in sessions.
Don't forget that the ICD covers one year at a time. So your training start and end dates are for the current year, not for the entire duration of the ICD.
- a minimum of 3 months of consecutive courses;
- a minimum of 15 hours training attendance per week.
This program aims to develop skills to facilitate access to employment, and is open to all Emploi-Québec clients. Recipients of social assistance (Income Security) and employment insurance can, under certain conditions, participate in this program. For more information, contact your local employment center (CLE) to verify eligibility.
The deadline for submitting an application for financial assistance is determined annually by the Ministry.
After submitting an application for financial assistance, it will generally take four to six weeks to receive a response.
