The competition continues at the national level in Regina on May 29 and 30, 2025, as part of the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC), where seven candidates from the Eastern Townships delegation will proudly represent Quebec.
Meet the members of the Quebec team from our region:
- Logan Poisson and Charlie Veronneau, from Centre de formation professionnelle de Coaticook – CRIFA (Landscape Gardening)
- Brandon Bizier, from Centre de formation professionnelle 24-Juin (Autobody Repair)
- Etienne Galipeau, from CRIF – Centre régional intégré de formation (Electrical Installations)
- Antoine Gagnon and Victor Goudreault, from Cégep de Sherbrooke (Mechatronics)
- Samuel Bolduc, from Cégep de Sherbrooke (Mechanical Engineering – Computer-Aided Design (CAD))
Competitors who stand out in Regina will have the opportunity to represent Canada on the international stage at WorldSkills 2026, to be held in Shanghai in September 2026.
Let’s not forget that during the Quebec Trades and Technology Olympiad, organized by Compétences Quebec, nearly 300 competitors from 111 training institutions across 11 regions of Quebec showcased their expertise through demanding technical challenges in 34 specialized trades.
The Eastern Townships delegation included 24 candidates competing in 18 disciplines, representing trades taught in vocational training programs at the following institutions:
- Campus Brome-Missisquoi ;
- Centre de formation professionnelle 24- Juin;
- Centre de formation professionnelle de Coaticook – CRIFA;
- Centre de formation professionnelle EXPÉ;
- CRIF – Centre régional intégré de formation;
- LVTC – Lennoxville Vocational Training Centre;
- Cégep de Granby;
- Cégep de Sherbrooke.
